This education is for you if you want to publish your first fiction book. The education is primarily aimed at fiction, but if you dream of writing an autobiography, the programme may also be relevant for you, as you would benefit from many of the same tools.
We recommend that you either already be writing when you start the education or that you begin writing when you start, as this will give you the best output from the education. How long does the writer education last?
The duration of the education depends on how you choose to study. At Nordic Online Academy, you have complete flexibility – you can study wherever and whenever it suits you, at your own pace. This means that you have a significant influence on how long it takes to complete the education.
If you want an in-depth and solid understanding of writing books, we recommend that you take the time to immerse yourself in the teaching and reflect on the topics you are learning. This reflection is important as it prepares you for the challenges you will face as a writer and helps you build a stronger foundation.
We therefore recommend that you contact our student counselling for personal guidance and help in planning your course of study.
Do I have to take an exam?
No, at Nordic Online Academy, we have chosen not to end our educations with a traditional exam. Instead, we use ongoing assessment through multiple-choice tests after each module.
These tests are designed to reinforce your learning along the way and allow you to reflect on the content as you progress through the programme. The tests are not just a form of control – they are a tool that ensures that you understand and can apply what you learn. This way, you can take things at your own pace and gain a deeper understanding of the course material.
Once you have completed and passed all the modules, you will receive your certificate documenting your new skills.
Will I receive a certificate after completing the course?
Yes, once you have completed the book writer education, you will receive your personal certificate. The certificate serves as proof of the skills you have acquired and the knowledge you have gained.
How long will I have access to the educational material?
When you enrol in the book writer education, you will have access to the teaching materials for a full two years. This period ensures that you have plenty of time to learn at your own pace, and you can easily return to the material when you need it. If, during your course, you find that you need extra study time, don’t worry – in such cases, we can extend your access for a limited period at no extra cost.
What is the format of the programme?
The education is 100% digital. This means that after you enrol, you will receive a welcome letter and your personal login details for the programme on our user-friendly learning platform. The platform is structured in modules, which you can work through one at a time at your own pace.
Remember that you are never alone in your studies. Our student counselling is ready to help you, whether you have technical, practical or academic questions. You can easily contact us via chat, email or phone before, during and after your programme.

What payment options do you offer?
Typically, the course fee is paid directly upon enrollment using a payment card or via invoice. We do, however, offer a range of flexible installment options:

One-time payment (card):
You can pay the full amount with a payment card directly upon enrollment. -
Installments directly to Nordic Online Academy:
With this option, you pay 40% of the total amount with a payment card upon enrollment. The remaining balance is paid in four installments of 15% each, with 30 days between each payment.
An administration fee of 5% of the course price is added.

- Lotte Dalgaard graduated as a journalist from the Danish School of Journalism in 1994. Since then, she has worked freelance for television, newspapers and magazines, as well as teaching radio journalism at Medieskolen Lyngby. She has also completed a screenwriting course at the Short Film and Documentary Film School.
- Her first book was published in 2014, and since then she has published crime novels, true crime, memoirs, interview books and, so far, two romance novels.
